Little Switzerland - (Slinger, WI) - 5 lifts, 15 runs with front and backside runs. Night boarding also. I have boarded here many times and I like the hill a lot. They have a good set of runs and it is usually not to crowded. They usually have a good park as well as a few good jumps on the back hills.

Sunburst - (Kewaskum, WI) - 4 lifts, 8 runs with snowboard park and a snowboard only run. I have only boarded here a few times. The park is pretty small and the only direct access to the park is a tow-rope. They also have some really good runs but there are very few runs total. Usually the one of the first hills open in mid-east Wisconsin. This isn't one of the greatest runs around but for a easy hill, this is a good place to start.

Cascade Mountain - (Portage, WI) - 8 lifts including a high speed detachable quad. 27 runs with 2 terrain parks and 2 half pipe. Trails up to a mile long and a 460' vertical. I have boarded here only once and I liked it a lot. The high speed quad lift was awesome, you get to the top much fast so you get more boarding for you dollar.

Granite Peak - (Wausau, WI) - 3 main lift with 72 runs. 700' mountain! They added 21 new runs this year as well as a new chairlift. They also have a ton of new terrain including: rollers, box slides, hip jumps, spines, rails, a half-pipe, stairs, tabletops and a rainbow rail. I haven't ridden here yet but it is at the top of my list this year.

Ski Brule - (Iron River, MI) - 5 lifts, 2 T-bars, 4 ropes and a magic carpet on the bunny hill. They have one half-pipe and a fairly large board park complete with tabletops, hip jumps and quarter-pipes. The park has its own fast-track rope where the lines are rarely busy. In addition they have a double black diamond run through the woods. Also, the park is open for night skiing. I have been here every year for the past three years and I keep coming back because I like the park as well as the black diamond runs. This is usually the first of all of the hills to open early because of there awesome snowmaking capabilities.

White Cap Mountains - (Montreal, WI) - 3 mountains! 6 chairlifts and 35 runs spread across three mountains. Grab a trail map because it is easy to get lost! Excellent lift capacity with very little line times. With three mountains it is hardly ever crowded and the runs are long.

Big Powderhorn - (Bessemer, MI) - 9 lifts with 25 runs with a longest run on one mile. Most of the runs are blue square to black diamond rating. With 9 lifts and 25 runs spread over 250 acres it is easy to find you own space on the mountain. The atmosphere around the mountain is great to with a cafeteria, a grill house and the caribou lodge where there is always some entertaining nightlife.

Blackjack - (Bessemer, MI) - 4 double chairlifts and 2 tow ropes with 20 trails, 2 half pipes and 2 snowboard parks. Snowboards are welcome on all runs here which is a big plus. Their also have a black diamond trial through the woods which is pretty decent. For beginners, the beginner area is free of charge, so if you are just learning, this is a good place to start.

Indianhead - (Bessemer, MI) - 9 lifts and tows with 22 wide open runs. They have a new half pipe and new terrain park. Indianhead is has a great assortment of food and nightlife with several places to eat including the Summit Center which serves breakfast and lunch.
